All-in-One LED Display: 2026 Guide to Sizes, Price and Deployment

An all-in-one LED display is a pre-integrated large-format screen: LED cabinets, control system, power supply and signal processing ship inside a single chassis. Installation needs no controller rack and no cabinet-by-cabinet assembly, cutting on-site labour from days to hours and leaving one serviceable assembly instead of dozens of failure points.

Buyers searching for "all in one led display" usually mean one of three physical formats: a fixed wall-mounted screen from 136 to 199 inches, a mobile poster display, or a foldable unit built for roadshows. This guide covers size selection by viewing distance, the COB versus SMD trade-off, 2026 B2B price ranges, and installation and service access for meeting rooms, hotels and retail.

All figures in this guide are 2026 estimates.

How all-in-one differs from a traditional LED wall

The category has converged on three physical formats. The first is the fixed wall-mounted all-in-one, typically 136 to 199 inches, delivered as two to four pre-assembled modules bolted together on site. The second is the mobile or poster format, where screen, stand and media player form one shippable unit. The third is the foldable or flip format, designed for rental, roadshows and multi-room rotation.

What separates a true all-in-one from a traditional LED wall is integration depth. A traditional LED wall needs a sending card, a receiving card per cabinet, a separate video processor, external power distribution and a structurally engineered frame on site. An all-in-one LED display moves all of that inside the chassis. Installation labour drops from days to hours, and the number of failure points a technician must trace collapses into one serviceable assembly.

For procurement teams this matters because the cost model changes. You are no longer buying panel per square metre plus engineering plus integration labour. You are buying a finished product with a defined footprint, defined power draw and a defined service path.

136, 163 or 199 inch: matching screen size to the room

Size selection is set by viewing distance and room geometry, not by budget alone. The three mainstream sizes in 2026 map to three different rooms.

136-inch class

The 136-inch class suits rooms with a 4 to 6 m viewing distance seating roughly 10 to 20 people. It is the standard choice for small boardrooms, hotel meeting rooms and executive briefing centres. At this size a 1.5 mm to 1.8 mm pixel pitch keeps text on the back wall legible without pushing the cost into the premium bracket.

163-inch class

The 163-inch class covers 6 to 9 m viewing distances and 20 to 40 seats. It is the most common specification for mid-size conference halls, training rooms and hotel ballroom break-outs. Pixel pitch usually lands between 1.8 mm and 2.5 mm. This is also the size where the price-per-inch curve is flattest, which is why it appears most often in volume tenders.

199-inch class

The 199-inch class targets auditoriums, lobbies and large ballrooms with 9 to 15 m viewing distances. Pixel pitch ranges from 2.5 mm to 4 mm. Above 199 inches most projects switch to a custom LED wall instead of an all-in-one, because transport and door-opening limits outweigh the savings from integration.

COB or SMD: which packaging suits the application

COB (chip-on-board) and SMD (surface-mounted device) are the two packaging technologies used in all-in-one LED displays. The choice affects durability, contrast, serviceability and price.

COB packaging

In COB packaging the LED chips are bonded directly to the PCB and covered with a protective epoxy layer. The practical result is higher surface durability, better resistance to moisture and dust, reduced moiré at close viewing distances and more uniform black levels. COB is the default for hotel lobbies, retail front desks and any installation where the screen surface may be touched or exposed to humidity. The trade-offs are a higher unit cost and repairs that usually require replacing a whole module rather than a single pixel. For technical detail see the COB LED display platform.

SMD packaging

In SMD packaging individual RGB lamps are mounted on the PCB surface. SMD has a lower entry price, a mature supply chain and simple single-lamp repair. It remains the mainstream choice for indoor fixed installations in temperature-controlled rooms where the screen is not exposed to impact or moisture. For a 163-inch meeting-room screen in a controlled environment, 1.8 mm SMD delivers comparable visual performance at lower capital cost.

What drives price: pitch, packaging, cabinet

Buyers looking for all-in-one LED display price quickly discover that B2B rarely publishes list prices. The reason is that four cost drivers move independently.

Pixel pitch. Halving the pixel pitch roughly quadruples the number of LEDs per square metre. At the same diagonal, going from 2.5 mm down to 1.5 mm can add 40% to 70% to panel cost.

Packaging technology. As above, COB carries a 25% to 45% premium over SMD at an equivalent pitch.

Brightness and driver ICs. Indoor standard brightness of 600 to 800 nits is the baseline. High-brightness configurations for shop windows or semi-outdoor use add cost on both the LED and the driver selection.

Integration and enclosure. Foldable or flip mechanisms, motorised stands or custom A-frames add mechanical cost unrelated to the LEDs themselves. Mobile formats such as the LED poster display and the A-frame outdoor LED poster sit in an entirely different cost bracket from fixed wall systems.

For budgeting, a reasonable 2026 planning assumption is that the display accounts for 60% to 70% of total project cost, with the remainder split between mounting structure, installation labour, signal cabling and commissioning.

Deployment scenarios: meeting rooms, hotels and retail

Meeting room and boardroom applications

The core requirement here is not brightness but signal handling. An LED display in a meeting room must support HDMI, USB-C and wireless casting, and must switch sources without a visible handshake delay. A 136-inch or 163-inch unit at 1.5 to 1.8 mm covers most boardrooms. Reception and front-desk installations usually pair a wall-mounted screen with an LED front-desk display for wayfinding and branding.

Hotel and hospitality applications

Hotels deploy LED displays in three zones: lobby feature walls, ballrooms and meeting spaces, and wayfinding. Lobby installations tend towards COB for better surface durability and wide viewing angles. Ballroom installations tend towards 163-inch and 199-inch sizes with front service, because finished ballrooms rarely have room for rear access. For multi-room rotation and event builds, a vertical flip-foldable LED poster lets one unit serve several rooms in a single week.

Retail, exhibition and roadshow applications

Mobile formats dominate here. A tri-fold LED poster display offers three visible faces for aisle-facing positions, while single-panel posters suit end-caps and entrances. The critical specification is the weight per panel and the flight-case dimensions, because these units are moved by one or two people without lifting equipment.

Planning service access

Service access is the most common cause of post-installation cost overruns on all-in-one LED projects. There are two configurations.

Front service. Modules are removed from the front with suction tools. This is mandatory when the screen is recessed into a finished wall or when there is no access behind it. Front service adds a small cost premium but removes the need for a rear access corridor.

Rear service. Modules are accessed from behind. This requires 600 to 800 mm of clearance behind the screen and is only practical in new-build or shell-and-core projects where a wall cavity can be planned.

Mounting follows the same logic. A wall bracket is the lowest-cost option and suits fixed installations with adequate wall structure. Mobile stands and floor frames suit rental and multi-room use. For outdoor or semi-outdoor placement the cabinet must match the environmental protection rating and the mounting must account for wind load — the A-frame outdoor LED poster solves this with an integrated ballast base.

One planning rule that saves money: before finalising the size, confirm that the largest single shipping dimension can pass the building's doors, lifts and stairwells. A 199-inch unit that cannot reach the third floor is an expensive discovery.

OEM, ODM and choosing a manufacturer

For distributors, system integrators and tender-driven buyers, the manufacturer relationship determines lead time, customisation scope and after-sales cost. There are three common modes.

Original equipment manufacturer. The buyer supplies the brand, packaging specification and sometimes the enclosure design. The manufacturer builds to that specification. This suits distributors with an established brand and predictable volume. See LED display OEM for details.

Original design manufacturer. The manufacturer supplies an existing platform and the buyer re-brands it, with limited mechanical or firmware customisation. This is the fastest route to market and carries the lowest tooling cost.

Turnkey solution. The manufacturer supplies display, control system, installation and commissioning documentation as one package. This suits government and education tenders that require a single point of responsibility. For scope definition see LED OEM solutions.

When evaluating suppliers, ask for three things in writing: the module-level repair procedure, the spare-parts availability commitment in years, and the firmware update path. Market-specific certification is available on request.

Tender specification checklist

Use the checklist below to normalise supplier responses. Without it, quotations are rarely comparable.

  • Input list: HDMI version, USB-C, DisplayPort, wireless casting protocols
  • Integrated processing: sending card, receiving card, video processor
  • Power consumption: average and maximum, in watts
  • Service access: front, rear or both
  • Cabinet weight and maximum shipping dimensions
  • Standard and optional mounting

Frequently asked questions

What is an all-in-one LED display?

It is a large-format LED screen that ships with cabinets, control system, power supply and signal processing pre-integrated. It installs in hours rather than days, with no separate controller rack and no on-site cabinet assembly.

What does an all-in-one LED display cost in 2026?

Price depends on configuration and order quantity. Send us your requirements and our team will provide a quotation.

Is COB better than SMD for an all-in-one LED display?

COB offers higher surface durability, better moisture resistance and stronger contrast, at roughly 25–45% higher cost. SMD is more economical and allows single-lamp repair. Choose COB for high-touch or humid environments; choose SMD for controlled indoor venues.

What size all-in-one LED display does a meeting room need?

Match the size to the viewing distance. Choose 136 inches for 4–6 m and 10–20 seats; 163 inches for 6–9 m and 20–40 seats; 199 inches for 9–15 m and larger audiences. Confirm door and lift clearance before ordering.

Google EDLA certification, in two sentences

LED cabinets are driven by a sending card and fall outside the EDLA programme, so the requirement applies to the Android panel ordered alongside them in the same project. EDLA is Google's licensing programme for commercial Android devices: certified models ship with Google Mobile Services, the Play Store and Google's update path rather than the restricted "uncertified device" build. Choosing a supply channel: integrator, reseller or factory

LED projects split by format. Fixed wall installations are usually handled by the factory or an integrator, because transport, lifting and commissioning are part of the delivery. Mobile and foldable units are bought in small batches by resellers, hotels and event companies, often with custom A-frames or flight cases. Factory-direct is the right choice when you need a specific pixel pitch, cabinet colour or brightness tier, or when one all-in-one LED order must cover several rooms under a single BOM.

Ask for MOQ by size and pitch, cabinet and flight-case weights, brightness and refresh test data, spare module ratio, a 12–18 month BOM freeze, on-site service terms and a payment schedule.
